The Bivin Garden is located 0.25 mile west of Shidler on highway 11.  Shidler is 12 miles from the western entrance of the Tallgrass Prairie Preserve, on highway 18, and 12 miles east of Kaw Lake, on highway 11.

Open to the public, The Bivin Garden features spacious lawns, numerous flower beds and hundreds of trees and shrubs which offers a delightful sensory experience of sight, sound and smell.

The Bivin Garden is a member of the Green Country Marketing Association, one of 11 multi-county organizations working with the Oklahoma Tourism and Recreation Department, the Oklahoma Travel Industry Association, as well as other multi-country associations to promote Oklahoma tourism.

The Bivin Garden has been the recipient of such prestigeous awards as the Award of Excellence by Keep Oklahoma Beautiful, Inc. and the Conservation Award from the Daughters of The American Revolution.

The Bivin Garden was the topic for a featured episode on "Oklahoma Gardening", a television production of the Oklahoma State University.  (Video available from link on the left.)
