Located one quarter of a mile west of Shidler, Oklahoma on Highway 11, The Bivin Garden began in 1981 on six acres of virtually untouched prairie. There, Mollie Bivin and her late husband, Ray, built their home and began a labor of love that now includes over 40 flower beds, 35 species of roses, and hundreds of trees and shrubs. The Bivin Garden is also graced with a diversity of wild birds and an occasional critter or two. Come visit. Stroll the grounds and take in the sights and smells of the garden. Feel free to eat a sack lunch at one of the many picnic tables scattered throughout the garden. You can also browse our gift shop for that unique souvenir. The garden is in full bloom and ready for viewers from May through September. However, the best time to visit is from mid June through late July.
